Question: What are those reeeally old disney animations called--?

They usually had an orchestral song and depending on the setting, the characters would move along with the music? For instance, one was at a toy shop and these two figurines were dancing, one was in a lake or something and the animals and flowers would be synchronized dancing. This is really hard to explain. One was all about baked goods, cupcakes, and that sort of thing.. and they would dance around. No words, just music. Anyways, I was trying to find it on youtube, but I don't even know what words to try and search for? ahh! I found it! Silly symphonies! Does anyone remember these? I'm so excited. Hah. I just answered my own question.

Disney originally called his short cartoons "Laff-O-Grams " but those were silent. The ones you are thinking about were part of the "Silly Symphony " series, which was started right after most movie theaters started converting to sound systems (around 1939). Disney made the first cartoons that used sound. (You answered your own question while I was typing the above. Yes, I remember the Silly Symphonies, which continued on and was still shown in theaters in the fifties.)

I love those old disney cartoons! i wish they still made them
